Villa Costa Blanca

Our specially designed villa is situated on the outskirts of Torrevieja, Costa Blanca, and is fully accessible to wheelchair users, the elderly and anyone with mobility difficulties.If you would like a holiday where the winters are warm and the summers are hot and VERY LITTLE RAIN, then you will love it here!

Disabled Friendly
There are 3 main bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which has a huge wheel-in shower and rails.There are 2 electronically operated beds,( one of which has a nimbus mattrass for anyone with skin concerns) and an electric hoist.The villa sleeps up to 6 including 3 wheelchair users and comes complete with SKY television,DVD player and HI-FI and everything you need to make yourself feel at home.

Activities/Out and About
Whatever time of year you decide to visit, you can almost always be guaranteed lovely weather on the Costa Blanca.According to the World Health Organisation,The costa Blanca has one of the healthiest climates in the World! The region boasts excellent sandy beaches with EU Blueflag clear waters, gentle sloping beaches ideal for swimming and watersports, ideal for families and friends.

The Spanish people are especially friendly in this part of the country and usually invites you to take part in their traditional festivities. Fiestas are held frequently throughout the year, giving you a real opportunity to embrace and enjoy traditional Spanish life.

All of the town centres offer a variety of shopping, restaurants and bars. The major towns offer everything from leather goods, jewellery and pottery to a wonderful selection of fresh produce.

Local Areas
DENIA

The capital of the Marina Alta region of the Costa Blanca, with fantastic shops and brilliant transport connections including ferries running to both Mallorca and Ibiza.

BENIDORM

A very well known part of Spain which mixes the old and the new with ease. Over the next few years three 18 hole golf courses are expected to be built, these along with the lovely beaches and busy night life make Benidorm an ideal location.

ALICANTE

Alicante is the capital of the Costa Blanca with a mixture of historic buildings, beautiful beaches and a wonderful harbour.

A superb shopping centre with a huge choice of fashion shops, department stores, restaurants and bars.

GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA

This ancient town was built on a hill overlooking the River Segura. You will see that the ruins of the castle are preserved to this day.

The dune area is the unique part of town, wave and tidal deposit created these magnificent areas, which have been carefully preserved with hundreds of monumental dunes, pines and palm trees.

TORREVIEJA

A favourite area for settlement with expatriots, this thriving all year round town is the ideal place to visit offering several beaches with EU Blue Flag status, ensuring pollution free bathing.

The breakwater is a major attraction along the endless paseos (walks) beautifully decorated with palm trees. Torrevieja is famous for its' salt lakes, which have been mined since the Middle Ages.

LOS ALCAZARES

This is an small seaside town located beside the Mar Menor in the Murcia region at the southern end of the Costa Blanca where it joins the Costa Calida. It is an area of great historic and cultural heritage and time honoured traditions. It is truly a Mediterranean region with its friendly people, customs and climate.

LA MANGA

Below the mountains and hills in the Murcia region this arm of land separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean. Here you will find beautiful beaches on both sides and a wealth of bars, restaurants, shops, and water sport facilities.

Slightly inland from here is the famous La Manga Golf and Country Club where many prestigious events are held, and many international football teams have training sessions during their winter months.

Getting Here
To get here you can take one of 3 options;

Option 1; Fly to Alicante or Murcia where you can hire a wheelchair accessible vehicle and arrive in 20 mins.

Option 2; Fly into Murcia or Alicante and hire our Fiat Ducato for £300 per week (transfers cost 70 euros each way). The van includes insurance for any driver over 30 or the vehicle can be used as a taxi with our neighbour as the driver.

Option 3; You can fly to Alicante or Murcia be picked up taken to the resort not hire a car and use the facilities of Quesada this is only advised if you want a quiet holiday.

Bookings
A reservation deposit of £300 per week is payable on the villa booking. The balance six weeks prior to departure. If your booking includes the van a deposit of 300€ / £200 is required which is payable on arrival at the villa & refundable on departure.When you book, please mention Disability Holidays Guide.
