The Grove Bournemouth

The Grove Hotel is a beautiful holiday retreat for cancer patients and those with life threatening illnesses. We offer 30 very comfortable rooms and 25 staff on hand to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We are owned and operated by Macmillan Caring Locally here in Dorset and our main aim is to provide support not just to guests with life threatening illnesses but to their families and carers. If you or a loved one are a cancer patient or suffers from a life threatening illness and would like to get away and be pampered on a well deserved break, a very warm welcome awaits you here at The Grove.

Accommodation
We offer 17 Standard and 13 Superior rooms, all with private bathrooms; 23 with showers 8 with baths. All our bedrooms have LCD flat screen with Freeview, radio, laptop with internet access, emergency button and a safe for valuables. Our superior rooms also include a refrigerator.

We have 3 bedrooms that are designed for our disabled guests, 1 with remote control bed and recliner and the other 2 are also wheelchair accessible. We also have a fleet of Mobility Scooters available for hire.

*We do not have have lift hoists at present.

Facilities/Services
Our hotel offers all the facilities and services you would come to expect from a hotel of our standard plus a lot more, including purpose built function rooms for private parties and celebrations. We have our own private beach hut available exclusively for our guests to relax and listen to the waves. There is also a croquet area and putting green for our guests to have a fun time. We put on FREE trips for all our guests, subject to seasons and although we do not offer hands on nursing being a hotel, we do have a qualified nurse on hand 24 hours a day in case of any emergencies or for general advice and support.

Dining
Our guests can unwind with a few drinks in our stylish new bar before going through to The Grove Restaurant where our chefs Phil and Ian create sumptuous meals prepared from food sourced locally, whenever possible. Our lunch menu include omelettes, fish, beef burgers and hot and cold bar snacks. You can also try our tea in our conservatory which is served with tasty teacakes, muffins, flapjacks and teacakes. We endeavor to cater for special dietary requirements provided we are notified at the time of booking and our room service is available 24 hours a day.

Out and About
Our hotel is situated in a beautiful clifftop location here on the South Coast, with enough activities to make your stay a memorable one. There are 7 miles of beautiful golden sands, lush gardens with stunning scenery and all the shopping you need! With its watersports and airshows, traditional huts lining the beach and breathtaking scenery, no wonder Bournemouth is one of the most sought after destinations in the UK!
