We like to think that we are not just a holiday property site but that we also offer a range of services which can make your holiday experience as comfortable as possible. From medical equipment hire to adapted transfers, accessible hotels en-route and access information, we have got it covered!

Rental Medical Equipment

We do work with a good network of medical equipment suppliers all over France who are able to deliver equipment when and where you need it.
Please let us know if you require an electric bed, a pressure mattress, a hoist or anything else which could make your holiday more comfortable and we will arrange for it to be delivered and installed at your accommodation prior to your arrival and for the duration of your stay. Please note that rentals are per week and that some suppliers require more notice than others so make sure you tell us in advance about your requirements so that we can ensure for the best piece of equipment to be made available when needed.
Please contact us for more information.

Transfers

If you decide to travel by air or rail, you might need transfers to go to and from your holiday property in France or simply travel to a site of interest. We will be delighted to arrange suitable transfers for your party on request. Whether you are able to move in and out of your wheelchair or need a wheelchair adapted vehicle with large luggage capacity, we will obtain quotes and assist you with booking the appropriate vehicle.

Hotels en-route

Many of you will travel in their own vehicle for practical reasons and if you have opted for a property in Southern France, you might decide to break up your journey. It can take up to 12 hours of solid driving to travel from Calais to Biarritz and in peak season, this driving time might be a bit optimistic!
It is nice to build a stop en-route as part of your holiday but it is not always easy to find the appropriate accommodation for a night or two.
We also hold a database of all-budget wheelchair accessible hotels all over France so please do not hesitate to contact us for a suitable stop en-route.

Access Information Pack

We do not only research holiday homes suitable for individuals and families living with disabilities but we also like to think that, once you are there, you will be able to discover the area you have selected. We are able to provide our customers with a detailed Access Information pack which contains information about accessible, suitable places to visit, sporting activities and even restaurants, leisure facilities, medical services, banks and other useful contacts based on your chosen location.

Even if you have not booked your accommodation through us this time but will be staying in the Loire Valley area for example and would like to know which Castle or activity would be suitable (and to what extend!) if you are wheelchair user, we will be delighted to make this information available to you at a small cost.

Whether you are looking for a luxurious wheelchair accessible villa with pool in Provence, a small cottage in the Dordogne, a seaside retreat on the Pays-Basque Coast, a large farmhouse in the Loire Valley to accommodate the whole family, or a romantic stone cottage in the heart of Brittany, we do work hard to bring you a selection of disabled accessible holiday properties which will be able to welcome your party.

Some of our properties have been designed, (and  I mean properly designed!) or adapted to welcome wheelchair users, with level-access paths, lowered cooking areas, wheel-in showers and a range of suitable features. Others are more suited to young families and guests with reduced mobility who are looking for level grounds, downstairs facilities and family friendly gardens with play areas.

Again, some of you will be looking for a safe, relaxing heaven to escape to, where comfort and safety, lockable windows and doors, sensory toys and equipment onsite will be the main areas of concern. Families living with learning disabilities and difficult to manage conditions will be looking for fully enclosed gardens, alarmed pools and first and foremost, the right environment with the right level of understanding from those onsite.

Charming Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts...

From budget to 4* luxurious hotels and "Relais & Châteaux", we like to source the hidden gem, get you off the beaten track to lead you to discover some delightful parts of France where time seems to have stopped and where you will get to understand what "joie de vivre" really is!

From centrally located hotels offering a range of services, equipment and facilities to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as you would hope, to traditional Bed & Breakfasts where you will also be able to sample copious morning collations and deliciously prepared dishes, as some of them offer to cook your evening meals or might even surprise you with a picnic basket for your lunch, we will help you find the best option, based on your needs and requirements, whether it is for a few nights or for your en-route overnight stop.
From city break to country retreat, we have it covered!

Whether you would rather go for a city break, to discover France architectural jewels and treat yourself to a shopping trip punctuated by fine dining, or would prefer a relaxing golfing break, we can offer exactly what you are looking for.

Perhaps you feel tempted by something a bit more active, and would really love to join a sailing or scuba diving trip around the Mediterranean, a canoeing outing in the South-West... or perhaps you would like to go horse-riding in the Alps, fishing in the eastern Jura mountains or for an helicopter flight over the Loire Valley castles or the D-Day beaches?…

We can arrange all this for you… and even more!

Or why not try something new? What about skiing (including adapted skiing with fully qualified instructors) in the Pyrenees or going on a snowshoes outing to experience that liberating feeling of getting away from it all?

Or again star gazing in the Loire?

You might also like to join the rich and famous on the “Côte d’Azur”, from wandering around the romantic fishing ports of the South East to gambling in Monte-Carlo Casino and witnessing the sunset over the lined-up yachts, sipping an exotic cocktail… why not experience the glamour of the French Mediterranean coast?

From cooking in Provence and painting in Normandy to “thalasso” spa in Brittany or “vinotherapie” beauty treatments in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyard, from perfume to cider production, from fashion icon landmarks to D-Day emotional sites, from the birth place of impressionism to the magic light of the Island of Beauty…

What our customers say

Mr and Mrs S. – Wheelchair accessible holiday on the south west Atlantic coast - June 2012
Thank you… for providing such an accessible and comfortable gite. The owner of the accommodation have given a lot of thought in making the gite wheelchair friendly.  As a T8 paraplegic it certainly ticked all the boxes as to my comfort and needs. Together, the gite, sun and beaches made it a really enjoyable holiday. I'm sure that anyone else staying there would find it as enjoyable as we have.
R. and J.

Mrs W. and family – Wheelchair accessible holiday in Pas-de-Calais - July 2012
Hi Christine
Thank you so much for all the work that you must have put in . Our holiday went without a single hitch, and we were all delighted . TOP MARKS FOR THE ACCOMMODATION. The owners were wonderful, the location relaxing and very close to a host of interesting sights. We are all very pleased, especially my husband, as everything was smooth and easy going for him.
Many, many thanks once again.
Kind regards
C.

Mr & Mrs V. and family – Autism friendly holiday in the Charente, August 2012
Both M. and D. (accommodation owners) were really welcoming as were all the occupants in the other gites. All the children got on well with the 2nd week being all boys and all around the same age-fantastic. Joey had the best "boys" holiday ever just play, play, play and more play!! Archie within a very short period of time relaxed fully and he appeared to have a wonderful time.

We didn't need to go further afield as both the boys were happy just playing and swimming on site. However, we did participate in kayaking (nearby) and had an amazing fun filled time. The staff was very accommodating towards A. and their disabled toilet facilities were wonderfully clean and top notch!! Also… it was amazing value for money.

There's a lot more I could say, but I think I'll end by stating that the holiday was a success. We achieved what we set out to do; getting A. on a plane and on holiday with everyone else. I know flying will not be an issue now so therefore the world has opened up for us. Thank you for guiding me through the process. I couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you for your support and understanding
A.
