Accessible Accommodation

The hotel offers 12 suites, 6 hotel rooms, 1 spacious studio and a family suite that combines a room and suite with a connecting door. The accommodations are tastefully furnished and offer comfortable amenities. You will enjoy the Caribbean breeze and atmosphere from your balcony or terrace. All our suites are easily accessible and can become fully equipped with mobility equipment on your request. Enjoy our personal service, where also daily newspapers and the luxury of ordering groceries directly from your room are included.

The stylishly furnished accommodations are characterized by an abundance of space, natural daylight and graceful simplicity. The suites consist of one and two bedrooms that include a sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, widened doorways, adapted bathroom, flat screen cable TV, DVD player and Internet connection.
 

Swimming pool

The pool is located in the garden of the hotel and offers you comfortable sunbeds in, and outside shadow areas. Make use of our pooltowel service at our reception.Due to the small scale of the hotel the pool area has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere were at the same time children can enjoy swimming in a safe and quite surrounding. Pool toys for children are available in this area.

Reception

The reception is centrally located in the hotel. The lobby contains a lounge were you can find all information about tours, cars and restaurants on the Island. Even a small supply of drinks is available in the lobby of the hotel.
In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible our reception staff is there for you to provide you with all kind of information and guest services. Part of our guests services contain the advice and organization of assertive equipment, specialized wheelchair accessible tour programs, care on demand, grocery services and the availability of a daily newspaper in different languages.

Lounge

On the first floor, overlooking the lobby, you will find a cozy library lounge with a great selection of books and magazines in different languages. You will enjoy the Caribbean breeze and atmosphere from this area overlooking the green forest behind the hotel. Please enjoy a lovely magazine while having a cup of coffee and tea that is complimentary being offer in this area.This area has a TV and a kids corner as well.

BBQ Area

During your vacation on a Tropical Island as Curacao, a BBQ with natural and Caribbean flavors cannot be missed. Therefore Dolphin Suites offers you the possibility to make use of the BBQ facility in the garden of the hotel.
Please enjoy our BBQ services were you can order your BBQ packages with delicious meet or fish from the comfort of your room.

Restaurants

Within walking distance of the hotel, you will find a variety of restaurants and beach bars.

The Gastronomic organization ‘Art Culinair’ offer guests of Dolphin Suites the possibility to make use of the following meal packages in three different restaurants:

For a real Caribbean taste the Seafood grill Restaurant Nemo is included for diner in our half- & full board package.

Come and enjoy a long a la carte brunch or lunch from 11:00 untill 18:00 at Piazza Restaurant. Magnificent original and healthy menu items are served every day. This option is included in the full board package. Enjoy your lunch in this stylish restaurant while overlooking the ocean.

Dolphin Suites is located at one of Curaçao’s most extraordinary places. We especially welcome the families who participate in the Dolphin Assisted Therapy program offered by the world famous Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center (CDTC). The hotel is just a stroll away from the Sea Aquarium, beautiful beaches, dive schools, Health & Wellness Center, restaurants, tourist attractions and the Dolphin Therapy Center. Our reception staff is at your service to advise you in regards to suitable vehicles (to rent) as well as to assist you in booking tours on the Island to discover other beautiful areas on our Island.

Dolphin Assisted Therapy

Dolphin Suites is the preferred accommodation for families participating in the dolphin assisted therapy program at the Curacao Dolphin Therapy and Research Center (CDTC). CDTC offers children with physical and/or mental challenges and their families the opportunity to participate in a unique therapy program, in which the interaction with dolphins forms an essential aspect.Dolphin assisted therapy complements and reinforces traditional therapeutic approaches and takes place in an interactive environment. The therapy at CDTC is conducted according to the principles of behavioral therapy (operant conditioning).

The playful interaction with the dolphin forms a powerful reward for the child as soon as an exercise is completed successfully. The increased motivation to work extra hard during therapy provides the way for the child to work towards the next step in its development.

Extensive research has shown that interaction with dolphins increases the attention span and concentration ability up to four times and in addition is a strong stimulus in the sense of sensory integration (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell).

Dolphin assisted therapy at CDTC was created for people three years and older with a mental and/or physical disability, like: autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, Down’s syndrome, apraxia and dystonia. Please visit our website for more information.

Holiday Care

Because we understand that going on a holiday is not as self-evident as one might think for people with special needs, at Dolphin Suites we offer a complete package to be able to meet the needs of all our guests. Dolphin Suites combines a tropical holiday with the possibility of 24/7 care on demand.

We closely work together with Carin Bult (see picture) from Carin Cares. She is an experienced professional who offers special care and/or medical assistance.
We are happy to arrange the care that you need at our location, normal rates per hour are $34 excluding 6% tax. In the weekends and evenings from 7pm until 7am the rate will be $49.00 excl. 6% tax.

Accessible Tours

Discover the Island Curacao through our tailor made tour program. Enjoy a Sunset trip with Pelican boot trips along the south coast of Curacao. Experience once in a life time adventures and meet with the Dolphins of the Seaquarium or discover the unknown dept with the Submarine. Also Island trips with wheelchair accessible touring cars can be organized. All activities offer support and assertive equipment to make it well accessible to everyone.

Brucker Biofeedback Therapy Centre

Brucker Biofeedback is a technique that measures the signal sent between the brain and the body. With the aid of electrodes, subtle muscle movements are made visual or audible for the patient. This helps the patient to optimize and strengthen their body movements and daily life functions. Brucker Biofeedback is a unique form of Rehabilitation Therapy and is suitable for people with various medical (neurological) backgrounds amongst which: brain damage or damage to the central nervous system.
