Eria Resort is specially designed with disabled people in mind. The resort is located in the historic village of Maleme, of Crete Greece, in an area of unique natural beauty. The resort is surrounded by olive groves and offers an unobstructed view of the Cretan sea. All of this, in combination with the luxury, special arrangement and decoration of the indoor and outdoor areas, guarantee a comfortable and pleasant accommodation for physically challenged people along with their escorts and families.

The Resort

All the hotel facilities are fully accessible to people with disabilities. The resort provides a reception area, lounge, restaurant, main bar, roof garden, and lift. It also provides a gym with separate physiotherapy area as well as Jacuzzi. There is much to do in and around Eria Resort that you won't be bored for a moment. Have fun in our large swimming pool featuring a sloping ramp for easy way in and out. Relax and enjoy the sun and a cool cocktail in the swimming pool hydro-massage. We provide a good range of mobility and safety aids free of charge so you can access and enjoy all apsects of Eria Resort.

Hotel Rooms

All corners of our rooms and suites are comfortable and easily accessible, while at the same time they feature a private bathroom and a balcony. From the balcony you will be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the Cretan sea and the endless olive grooves embracing our Hotel. Our suites can accommodate up to four people, whereas some of our twin rooms can accommodate up to three people. All twelve rooms and two suites with fine and unique decoration, are fully equipped with one of the beds electrically adjustable, sling, emergency system call, satellite TV, telephone, internet connection, radio, safe box, mini bar and hair dryer. The bathrooms are convenient and specially designed. They are all equipped with shower, shower chair, horizontal and vertical bars and adjustable raised toilet seat.

Bar/ Pool Bar

The bar next to the pool is at your disposal 24 hours a day! Enjoy the rich tastes of Greek cuisine and choose from a variety of light snacks, desserts, fresh juices and refreshing cocktails!

Restaurant

Open from morning until late at night. Our goal is to provide you with delicious, freshly cooked, homemade food. Faithful to the famous Cretan cuisine standards, we make exclusive use of olive oil, local products and always fresh vegetables and fruits. Inform us about your dietary restrictions or preferences prior to your arrival. Even if you are vegetarian, diabetic, or allergic to specific food, we will still strive to meet your requirements.

Wheelchairs electric or manual, hoists, stanchions, oxygen compressor, scooters, rollators and other equipment, are available to rent upon request. Doctors of any expertise and physiotherapist will be at your disposal. Our specially adapted mini bus is also available to transport you safely, to and from the airport or the harbor. We recommend an excursion programme carefully designed with disabled guests in mind so you can get out an enjoy all that Meleme and crete has to offer. Visit the picturesque city of Chania with it Venetiion harbour, take an excurions to Knossos Palance and the Archelogical museum, take a tour of the White Moutains and the Samaria Gorge and lots more...

The privileged position of Máleme and its direct access to the highway connecting Haniá-Réthimno and Chaniá-Kastélli enables you to easily access the entire prefecture of Hania, as well as the rest of Crete. Between the village and the beach there is a main street where you can find the every day facilities including pharmacy, medical centre and other shops, like pottery, cloths, jewellery, souvenirs etc

The Beach

A large wood ramp plus the hotel free of charge floating wheel chair give you the possibility to swim in one of the most clean, pretty and deep blue sea water, of Crete! The beach is well organized and provides all kind of facilities such as sun-chairs, umbrellas, showers and sea sports! There are cafes, bars and local restaurants, (Tavernas) along the waterfront road, some of them with accessible toilets.

The night life is good but if you want more intense nightlife just tries the nearby cities of Platanias and Chania.

The hotel has 11 twins and 2 suites. 6 of the twin rooms are suitable for 3 people (triple).
