Disabled Friendly Accommodation

Estrella Lodge villa is on two levels, with the main communal areas upstairs which can be accessed via an internal staircase with stair lift or via the paths that run around the outside of the building with ramps for transfer between the levels.

Upstairs, the kitchen/diner seats 10 guests and can seat up to 14. The lounge has seating for 5 around the large Tosca stone open fire place where we burn our own wood and the glazed naya with private bar and pool table with bar stools, board games and puzzles.

Breakfast is served out on the covered terrace.


The Master Bedroom is fit for a king, with King size bed and 1 single bed, double glass fronted wardrobe, 2 bedside cabinets and ceiling fan, is fully air-conditioned and with tiles and small rugs beside the bed. The en-suite bathroom which has a large walk in shower with raindrop head, a double vanity unit and the toilet, a dressing area and another 2 wardrobes.

The Marine Bedroom has 2 single beds. It also has a built in wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets, ceiling fan, air conditioning, sky light with manual opener and blind, tiled floors and French window opening onto the glazed naya. This room would be suitable for a carer with the wheelchair accessible bedroom next door.


The Oriental Bedroom is our wheelchair accessible bedroom on the main living floor, with  king size bed, a built-in wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets, air conditioning, central heating, sky light with electric opener and manual blind. Tiled floors and a lovely French window opening onto the glazed naya.


The Marine & Oriental Bedrooms share the disabled bathroom just across the corridor, with a walk in / wheel in shower with grab rails, low level wash basin with mirror and toilet (drop grab rails either side) and is tastefully tiled on the floors and walls.

Downstairs has been configured to be fully wheelchair accessible; you will find the family bedroom and the Spanish bedroom.

The Family Bedroom is tastefully decorated king size bed, 2 bedside tables, dressing table and hanging space and fully furnished with en suite facilities which include a walk in shower with no steps or doors, making it suitable for wheelchair access. An additional room, the annex within this room, has full size bunk beds and either another single bed or a cot, with a bedside cabinet and chest of drawers.

The Spanish Bedroom has 1 double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers as well as bedside cabinets tiled floors throughout with en-suite facilities consisting of a walk in shower, no door or step making it suitable for wheelchair access. To the right is the wash hand basin and toilet.

The villa is situated in 3,000 sq metres of mature gardens, being on the foothills of Montgo the garden is not flat, however the terraces are large and level and can be accessed by either ramps or steps, more detail is shown below.

Activities

The Ondara Riding school, run by Jodie Darrick-Hayter, can cater for disabled visitors and the horses and ponies have been chosen with care for their temperament and ability.

Javea Arenal (beach) provide wheelchair access to the beach and the sea with and a firm shaded area for wheelchairs
We can provide airport transfers from either Alicante or Valencia and daily transport to the destination you choose at the time you require in our 2 8 passenger and 1 7 passenger minibuses (although not fully wheelchair accessible at the moment, the traveller must be able to transfer from wheelchair to a minibus seat (with help).
A hearty breakfast is provided to give you a good start to your day and we can provide a packed lunch to take out with you. After your day's events, you can sit down and relax to a lovely evening meal.
