Here's What Our Guests Say...!

"A superb gite in Brittany for the whole family. We booked this cottage mainly because it offered access and facilities for the wheelchair user in our party. In the event we discovered that it offered this and much more. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. The wheelchair and disabled facilities were excellent and included plenty of space, smooth uncluttered floors, wide doors and a very nice wet-room. In addition, the owners offered to organise other services and equipment should we need them. This helpful approach set the tone for the visit and Clara and her husband Martin went out of their way to help, both before and throughout our stay.

Our party of five included a two year old and a dog and the cottage was great for us all. The two year old was thrilled by the basket of toys waiting for him and the adults loved the very attractive interior design, interesting garden, beautiful surrounding rural area and the proximity to some fine beaches, coastal walks and excellent restaurants. There are no shops or bars in the village, but it's only a five minute drive to a boulangerie and a supermarket and ten minutes to the nearby town of Lannion for the weekly market. The roads in the area are pretty good and it took us less than an hour from the ferry port at Roscoff or less than two hours from St Malo. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend the cottage to our family and friends." Gene and Jenny from Bath

"Thanks to Clara and Martin for being so hospitable. The disabled facilities are excellent – very important to us. All in all a great 10 days.Dilys, Barry, Carolyn and Allen from Wiltshire

"Clara and Martin have the best equipped gite in France! All the arrangements for our son have been first class. Clara really goes out of her way to ensure every aspect of our needs are met. It’s been a lovely holiday cycling and visiting the beaches." Vicky, Dominic, Alec and Jane from London

"A lovely cottage in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cottage and Clara and Martin made us feel very welcome. The cottage was finished to a very high standard. It was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect - remote and peaceful but everthing we wanted was within half an hour. The gardens were beautiful and our boys really enjoyed exploring them with Francis." The Gaches family from Hertfordshire

Hi, I am a wheelchair user and we have just returned from Gites-en-Tregor (DHG247AC), and I had to write a testimonial for your website. This is a very spacious self catering gite in the very north-west of France near the town of Lannion, Brittany. I'm a wheelchair user, and finding such excellent facilities for mobility impaired persons in France can be trying, and this is one of the best ones I've found. It has a most modern bathroom, toilet and shower room, with support bars all in the right places. A shower chair is also available, and is all en-suite to a double bedroom. There is an additional bathroom and bedrooms upstairs too.

Access in and about the gite is all on the level, and the spacious living and kitchen area is more than you would ever need. Access to the kitchen sink though is into a corner spot and just doesn't work without stretching yourself. While a patio, picnic table and BBQ facilities outside makes for very relaxing pastimes in the sunshine, you also have the peace of the countryside all about you. The flowers and shrubs are all kept well and it just makes for the most heavenly spot.

Our hosts Martin & Clara made us most welcome, and live next door should you need of any further assistance or guidance in the area. There's the local village of Ploubezre which has all your immediate catering needs. Lannion is about 10 minutes away, where I found endless disabled car-parking spots available. It is quite a hilly town in places, but down about the narrow old lane-ways there's some very good restaurants and café bars. But they're worth the effort with some assistance as French cuisine is renowned and is plentiful here. The town has great history and is evident by the many very old buildings still showing the construction styles of centuries gone by. For those who want to just go shopping, there's a wealth of very good shops and wares available too.  Conor, 17/9/2013
