Disabled Friendly

Hall Farm Cottages have been awarded National Accessibility Level 2 status and we have several disabled groups staying with us each year. We pride ourselves on the disabled-friendly accommodation and service we provide for our disabled, elderly and less mobile guests. All our cottages have level paved access from the car park, open plan living area and en-suite wet-rooms. All wet-rooms are complete with hand rails and all bathroom facilities are at accessible height. Portable hoists and other equipment can be hired locally and delivered to your cottage if you notify us when booking.

Bed and Breakfast

We offer a bed and breakfast service for our short-stay guests who will have a variety of rooms to choose from. You can choose between our Family apartment which has 2 double or twin beds plus cot for under children under 12 ( sleeps up to 4 guests), the Double/Twin bedroom with en-suite or the Family Room with either double or twin bed with additional cot for children under 12.

Our B&B accommodation offers disabled level 2 access, wet-rooms with roll-in shower and raised toilet seats etc, television lounge, free wireless broadband and of course our 'healthier than thou' continental breakfast! Please visit our website for details on our rates.

All en-suite, roll-in, shower rooms have hand rails, lever taps on the vanity basin, and plenty of room to manoeuvre. Shower chairs or stools, and raised toilet seats are available on request.

FOLLOW THE A47 FROM NORWICH OR GREAT YARMOUTH.

AT ACLE ROUNDABOUT TAKE THE A1064 SIGNPOSTED CAISTER.

AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE CROSS RIVER BRIDGE AND AFTER A FURTHER HALF MILE, TAKE THE LEFT FORK ONTO THE B1152 SIGNPOSTED MARTHAM AND POTTER HEIGHAM.

AFTER APPROX. 4 MILES TURN LEFT AT T-JUNCTION ONTO A149.
CROSS RIVER BRIDGE AND TAKE THE FIRST LEFT AFTER THE AMBULANCE DEPOT (STATION ROAD).

TURN RIGHT AT THE END OF STATION ROAD ONTO THE A1062 SIGNPOSTED LUDHAM.

PROCEED THROUGH LUDHAM (KEEPING CHURCH ON LEFT) AFTER APPROX. 2 MILES, CROSS OVER ANOTHER RIVER BRIDGE.
HALL FARM COTTAGES IS SIGNPOSTED, APROXIMATELY 200m AFTER BRIDGE, ON THE LEFTHAND SIDE OF THE ROAD.

Note: It is possible to take the route through Norwich and Wroxham, which is slightly shorter, but we do not recommend this, particularly on a Saturday, because of the tremendous build up of traffic in Wroxham.

Activities

Whether you choose to relax with a good book, bird watch or get out and see the sights, the Norfolk Broads offer something for everyone. The area is very popular for fishing so if you are a fishing fanatic, this is certainly the place to be! The fishing season on the Norfolk Broads runs from 16th June to the 14th March (licence required). Sea fishing is another option but if you prefer a quiet local lake instead, then why not try our very own wheelchair-friendly Lake which we dug ourselves and stocked with over 1000 carp, crucian carp, roach and tench!

Boat Trips are very popular here and at the Ferry Marina in Horning, there are a range of boats to suit most budgets. Included in your price is life jackets, fuel and a tuition lesson. There is a wheelchair-friendly day boat available but it is best to book it in advance.(01692 631111)

If you fancy a bit of shopping or would like to go out to eat, between the villages of Horning and Ludham you will find a selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. Visit our website to see what's on and where to go.
