Experience Our Working Farm

Hoe Grange is a working farm complete with the usual countryside noises of cows, early dawn chorus, clucking happy free range hens, muck spreading, silaging and the occasional farmyard smell! We will be happy to give you a guided tour of the farm to show you the animals by arrangement. Help Felicity or David feeding the chickens and horses, in the spring there may be baby lambs to feed and young calves to see in the fields. For some of the year we have free range pigs who all need feeding. You can see the tractors and if you ask nicely we might let you sit in one. (Sorry, you cannot drive it or go for a ride as it’s against the law) but you can spend hours “driving” the wooden toy tractor in the play area.

Here's What Our Visitors Say...!

"Thank you for a wonderful short break. The cabins are superb! There are so many thoughtful touches to what you've provided (it's more than a "Welcome pack", rather it's an "everything you'll need pack" ). It's been a complete pleasure to stay here and we look forward to bringing the whole family back." Jon and Caroline - Lincoln

"As a powered wheelchair user I found the inside of the cabin extremely wheelchair accessible. Thank you David and Felicity for your warm hospitality and for choosing to make one of your cabins wheelchair friendly" Katherine Greenwich, London

“Had a fab working holiday with a disabled gentleman. Accommodation had everything we needed a real home from home- spotlessly clean. A very warm welcome from David and Felicity nothing would seem too much trouble.” Mrs Heron Liverpool

“As a powered wheelchair user I found the inside of the cabin extremely wheelchair accessible. Thank you David and Felicity for your warm hospitality and for choosing to make one of your cabins wheelchair friendly” Katherine Greenwich, London

Just to say a really big thank you for making our holiday very enjoyable. Your cabin is so well equipped for wheelchairs (two of the guests had wheelchairs and there was still plenty of space). Your hospitality has been second to none and we really cannot thank you enough for helping us with all the “little things”. The cabin is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings so beautiful – we hope to visit again. Stephen, David, Sally-Ann and Helen – Sense East
