Our Guest Rooms

Our four (en-suite) bedrooms offer great flexibility, with a choice of single, double, twin or super-king arrangement. All rooms have full en-suite facilities with shower, one has a sunken whirlpool bath as well as separate shower cubicle. All rooms have been specifically designed for guest use and improvements are constantly being made. Flat screen TVs with SKY satellite, drinks-making facilities, hair dryer and alarm-clock radio are provided. We use winter or summer-weight duvets as appropriate for the time of year although sheets and blankets are also an option (must be ordered in advance.) Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

The paintings in each bedroom have been specially commissioned and have been painted by a local artist.

Disabled Friendly

Three of our four rooms are on the ground-floor - offering a superb choice for those who require disabled access. We comfortably satisfy the requirements of M1 grading in the National Accessibility Scheme and only fail to get a higher grading because of doorway width. So long as your wheelchair can turn into doorways of 28” (72cm) that shouldn’t be a problem for you. Access to the house is from concrete parking with no steps throughout the public areas (with the exception of Room Four upstairs!)

Accessible Guest Room 1

Room 1 is a fully equipped double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and offers stunning views of the garden and the Shrewsbury countryside. For a comfortable night's sleep, the bed is fitted with Egyptian cotton linen and a plush mattress comforter.

The wardrobe has the option of a lower hanging rail for accessible height and the standard size double bed can be raised to store a portable hoist.

The en-suite is fully equipped with level access shower and sherwood stool or shower chair with removable arms. All bathroom facilities from lever taps to grab rails are at accessible height.

Accessible Guest Room 2

Room 2 is a super king room with the option of making them into twin beds. From your bed you will be enjoying views of the countryside and the Welsh mountains. The beds are fitted with sumptuous Egyptian cotton sheets and cosy comforters. There are cosy arm chairs for you to relax and watch satellite television.

The en-suite has a spacious level access shower, grab rails and a choice of perching stool or shower chair. All facilities are at accessible height and a mobile hoist can be hired locally if needed.

Accessible Guest Room 3

Room 3 is also super-king with the option of twin beds if required. Bedroom 3 is fully furnished to the same high standard as the other two rooms and also has an en-suite bathroom.

This en-suite has a step in to shower and is 7 inches high. There is a grab rail to assist entry and another inside the cubicle but this would be more suited to a part time wheelchair user or someone with slight mobility difficulties as the facilities are not all at accessible height. There is a whirlpool bath and a normal bath for which a bath seat can be provided.
