Lovely Accessible Holiday Complex

Montana Sol is a holiday accommodation complex that has been specially adapted throughout to meet the needs of wheelchair users and other disabled guests. The cost of your holiday includes fully adapted family or twin bedrooms with en suite wet room facilities, along with all airport transfers and daily local transport in our specially adapted mini buses. Your holiday cost also includes our famous full board catering option of breakfast, lunch and dinner including wine.

Friendly and efficient staff

From being met at the airport with our specially adapted minibuses and for the duration of your holiday, our experienced professional staff are at your disposal 24 hours per day.

Dining

We start your day off with fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, tea and coffee and a full English served with bucks fizz! At lunchtime, you will be dining Al Fresco on one of our large terraces, while looking out across the Mediterranean, tucking into a buffet style lunch with a selection of meats, fish, cheeses and salads.

A three course meal is served at dinnertime with a selection of complimentary wines. All our dishes are freshly prepared daily by our resident chef and once a week we hold a barbeque where the sangria flows freely, at no extra cost! We are more than happy to cater for any special dietary requirements you might have -just inform us at the time of booking.

Bar/ Lounge

Montana Sol operates a highly popular 24 hour self service bar which is stocked with a full range of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as ice creams - all at very reasonable prices.

If you wish to watch Eastenders or Corrie then the lounge is the perfect retreat - equipped with UK satellite TV you need not miss an episode! Alternatively there is a CD player and radio (English language radio is available here) along with a small library and a selection of games and cards.

Pool & Gardens

Enjoy a day just relaxing by the pool sipping a cold drink - sunbeds and poolside towels are provided Free of Charge, for your use, during your stay. The swimming pool at Montana Sol has been specially built to enable safe and easy access by people with disabilities. The pool itself is 1.5 metres deep throughout and is equipped with a hoist.

All areas the communial areas at Montana Sol are accessible by wheelchairs to enable you to fully enjoy your holiday with us. You are free to explore the resort at your leisure through the various patios and courtyards that are found within the complex. The wonderfully coloured foliage of sub tropical plants and palms along with shaded areas to simply pass the time of day will add to your enjoyment and relaxation.

Entertainment

To ensure you enjoy your holiday we provide a range of entertainment during your stay with us. You can enjoy live entertainment provided by professional performers in the bar area at Montana Sol. We also hold regular fun quiz nights, bingo, karaoke and theme nights.

Evenings out
For those who wish to enjoy some of the local night life and get a total taste of this beautiful area of Spain, the minibuses are available on two evenings per week. Again, these trips are included in the cost of your holiday.

Mobilty Aids & Equipment

Disabled Aids
Included FREE in the price of your holiday is most of the special equipment you may need. This includes mobile hoists, shower chairs, commodes, walking frames, toilet risers.We do have a small selection of slings available - however we would recommend that for personal comfort you bring your own.

Available for hire
For those guests who require them we have available for hire ripple mattresses, electric wheelchairs, and scooters. Should you require any of these items please ensure you reserve them when booking your holiday.

Montana Sol has been specifically designed for disabled holidaymakers. Unlike many other resorts we offer our guests holiday accommodation which has been purposely designed and built for you.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All bedrooms have en suite wet rooms complete with shower chairs or commodes. Each spacious twin bedroom is fitted with a height adjustable bed with head and foot raisers, monkey poles and bed levers should they be required.

Family rooms

We have two family suites comprising of one twin bedroom and one single bedroom which share an en suite wet room - there is no single supplement for the single room.

Facilities

All bedrooms have direct access to both the outside terrace areas and internal areas of the resort. All en suite wet rooms have wheel in shower areas, strategically placed fitted grab rails and either wheel in shower chairs or commodes - whichever you prefer. all bedrooms are fully equipped with safe and hairdryers included - free of charge.

Maid service and laundry

Rooms are serviced every day. An iron and ironing board is available for guests to use. We have a laundry service available on site which you may use for a nominal fee.

Self Catering

Those choosing self catering will be accommodated in our private villa situated within the grounds of Montana Sol . The villa has three double bedrooms with full en-suite facilities plus one family room / 3 people sharing twin room with bathroom. You will have shared use of the fully fitted kitchen; complete with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. Tea and coffee will be provided FREE OF CHARGE throughout your stay.

Located on the Costa Del Sol in Spain, situated near the famous village of La Carihuela, Playamar and Torremolinos Beaches and towns and Benalmadena Marina with purpose built and professionally staffed wheelchair accessible beaches to enable everyone to enjoy bathing in the Mediterranean waters.

Out & About

All your excursions locally are included in the price of your holiday and each morning after breakfast, we take our guests out in our specially adapted minibuses to see the sites. These include trips to the beach, the shopping centres, marinas and markets. Trip further afield incur a small additional cost. Here's a sneak preview of what our trips have to offer:

Benalmadena Marina

This trip takes place on a Sunday and here you will be checking out the Yachts, the local shops and bars. The entire area is flat and level, perfect if you are in a wheelchair and would like to venture further to La Carihuela promenade.

Paloma Park

The park is over 200,000 square meters in size and is laid out around a man-made lake. All the paths are monoblock, ideal to maneuver a wheelchair. If you are a lover of wildlife then you will love it here! The animals are all very friendly and you can even buy bread and let them eat out of your hands!

La Carihuela Seafront

This is authentic Spain at its best! This area captures the essence of traditional Spain with its original fishermen cottages and pretty bougainvillea covered patios. This sea front promenade (Paseo Maritimo) is perfect for wheelchair users and has many excellent seafront fish restaurants, bars and shops along it. The beaches are always clean and sandy and are generally wider and longer than many others on the Costa Del Sol.

Selwo Marina Park

Selwo Marina has the only Dolphinarium in Andalucia and here you will see the dolphins up close in action. There are five pools, with the biggest being a spectacular circular pool with transparent front panels so you can see the dolphins up close and under the water, centimeters away! The sea lion enclosure is also nearby, with playful species from Chile and Argentina.

If you fancy a bargain or two then you can take a trip to the famous Torremolinos bull ring. There are many a bargain to be had from shoes to clothes to handbags but you must be prepared to haggle!
