Caring for a loved one, but feeling in need of a break? Paladin Life was born out of personal experience of caring for an elderly relative and finding no options to have a holiday combined with care and support. At Paladin Life, you can either accompany your loved one or entrust your loved one into our care, leaving you, to enjoy some quality time of your own. We can provide daily help with personal care or we can provide live-in help, which could include personal care, preparation of meals and even accompanied trips out, taking in the beautiful surroundings of Dartmoor and all it has to offer.

5 Star, 3 Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4

‘No. 22’ has recently been refurbished to the highest standards both inside and out. The internal accommodation comprises of an open plan sitting room, a dining room and kitchen flowing through into the lovely conservatory and allows wheelchair users to manoeuvre freely. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, separate freezer and washing machine. There are place settings for up to four guests. There is a small downstairs cloakroom. 
The sitting room area includes Sky TV, large plasma screen and a CD player with a selection of music and DVDs – or an iPod docking station if you prefer your own! ‘No. 22’ is also equipped with broadband. Beautiful bedrooms and a stylish bathroom await you upstairs. There is an optional stair lift should you need some help.
Outside, a pretty garden path with ramp access leads to a patio area, which has uninterrupted views of the countryside. A table, chairs and a parasol offer the opportunity for alfresco dining or relaxing with your afternoon tea.

Bedroom One 

This beautiful room offers a 4ft electric bed from which you can take in the views of the open countryside, whilst sipping your morning cup of tea. The duck egg blue colour scheme offers a subtle and tranquil ambience ready to revive and relax you.

Bedroom Two

This double room provides a real sense of luxury and indulgence. Beautiful hearts and candles delight the senses and offers the perfect space in which to relax and unwind. Fluffy robes ensure every attention to detail, allowing you every opportunity to recharge your batteries and to feel refreshed.


The stylish and elegant bathroom offers both bathing and shower facilities, with the option of an electric bath seat, for those who need a little extra help. The luxury of a deep bath, to ease aching muscles, serves to ensure both body and mind are utterly pampered, soothed and relaxed!

Bedroom Three 

This stylish, little black and white room is really rather special. An electric single bed offers another option for either yourself, loved one or live-in carer. “Eddie” the teddy bear ensures a cosy feel is assured, whilst again, every detail is afforded to style, comfort and elegance.

Contemporary and yet cosy, ‘No.22’ has a beautiful outlook over green fields. Fresh flowers and a welcome basket await you, together with a warm welcome. It has been furnished and equipped with love and flair using sumptuous fabrics and the finest bed linens, right through to the fluffiest bath robes. Attention to detail, with touches of luxury, allows you to feel pampered and to thoroughly enjoy your experience in the peaceful tranquility of this beautiful setting.

Devon and Cornwall Coastline

A spectacular stretch of coastline, boasting dramatic cliffs, grazed open farmland and secluded sandy coves. There is a wealth of coastal walking to enjoy here and a wide variety of wildlife to look out for.

Dartmoor National Park

Dartmoor National Park covers an area of 368 square miles, making it the largest and wildest area of open country in Southern England. With over 450 miles (730 km) of public rights of way, there is an abundance of walking routes to suit all tastes and abilities. However, what makes Dartmoor really special is its cultural heritage – did you know that it has some of the best archaeological sites in Western Europe?

Tavistock Market

Situated in the very heart of the historic town of Tavistock, is the ancient Pannier Market. The Market was granted its Royal Charter in 1105 and has survived without a break for over 900 years. The market is open daily Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 9am - 4pm.

If comming by car and using Satelite Navigation, use postcode PL20 7UB
Travelling North along the A38 take the exit for the A386 towards Tavistock. At Horrabridge turn right onto Graybridge Road.
Travelling South leave the M5 at J31 and take the A30 towards Okehampton / Bodmin. After approximately 25 miles take the exit onto the A386 signposted Tavistock. Go through Tavistock keeping on the A386 and follow the signs to Plymouth. When you get to Horrabridge take the 1st left onto Graybridge Road.
From Graybridge Road take the 2nd left onto Pencreber Road. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Chapel Lane and you will find ‘No.22’ Copperfields on your right hand side.
