The bungalow, graded 4 star by enjoyEngland.com, is large and spacious and comfortably sleeps 8 plus a cot. Disabled holidaymakers have also been greatly catered for within the property. It is a detached , ground floor bungalow with the provision for older and less mobile guests, part time wheelchair users - Level 2 and for hearing impairment Level 1, with portable hearing loops available. There is also a 3 wheeled walking frame and bath seat. At the front of the bungalow there is a block paved driveway with off road parking space for three vehicles plus a garage. At the main entrance to the front door, there is one three inch step with a grab rail on the left side, an outside light will come on by sensor to light the drive and entrance area. This leads into the lovely hallway which leads to all the rooms and the airing cupboard.

The Lounge

The lounge is a large bright and spacious room with hard wood flooring, situated at the back of the bungalow overlooking the enclosed garden. There are 2 armchairs and two, three seater sofas. All seats are 530mm high. There is a widescreen TV on the wall which can show subtitles if the program provides this, a DVD player and a selection of discs as well as some board games and jig saw puzzles. A lovely room for the whole family to sit and unwind and catch up on the days events!

Kitchen and Dining

The kitchen is very spacious and has a tiled floor throughout. The Electric oven is integrated below the worktop with a gas hob on the top, level with the work surface and an electric filter hood over the hob with its own light plus an under counter fridge and freezer, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Also provided in the kitchen is cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and also some other handy appliances including, a coffee maker, cafetiere, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle, radio and a grip gadget for opening lids. A perching stool is also available. The Cold sink tap supplies drinking water as there is a water softener installed.

The Bathroom

The main family bathroom also entered from the hall, has a luxury white Whirlpool bath with lever taps and 2 vertical grab rails fitted onto the wall and a shower cubicle which is 900mm. The space between the bath and shower cubicle is 750mm. The tray is only 70mm from the floor and there is a horizontal grab rail inside the cubicle. The basin is also fitted with lever taps and has a cabinet fitted over the top with mirror doors and a shaver point inside and an adjustable mirror sited lower. The W.C is in a corner with a lift and raise grab rail beside it, a clockwise turn to sit on the seat and this is 17inches/ 430mm high and a seat raiser available of 4 inches/100mm. Rubber mats for the bath and shower are provided and there is a large heated towel/radiator as well. The floor is vinyl covered and the walls are completely tiled in a stylish blue and white. Cotton bath mats are also provided along with all towels.

Wylene has a large enclosed back garden mostly laid to lawn with garden furniture and a barbecue on the patio. There are lovely sunny and shaded areas in which to relax or play, with a Bench seat under the pergola and a swing seat on the lawn some outdoor games and toys with level access all around the property.

In the nearby town of Britain in Bloom’s winner Bury St Edmunds, there is plenty to do ranging from the Market Day in the streets on a Wednesday and Saturday when it is pedestrians only, the beautiful Abbey Gardens which are open everyday where you can take leisurely walks and admire the spectacular floral garden displays and hand feed the squirrels! If you prefer to see the town, why not take a Blue Badge guided tour? You can stop for a spot of lunch at the fully accessible Kiln Café, part of the Malthouse Project, in the town centre where you can also take a self-led tour of the building free of charge Monday to Saturday, following numbered information boards showing the history of each room and view its original features on display. There is the St Edmunds Cathedral which is open every day, with its Magnificent gothic style tower which was completed in 2005, organ recitals, Concerts and a Discovery Centre. The Theatre Royal is well worth a visit as well.

If you fancy a swim then Abbeycroft Leisure Centre offer disability inclusive sessions and specific sessions for children and adults with disabilities. There are lots of little interesting shops and cafes as well as many high street stores and the newly built Arc shopping centre houses over 30 well known retailers. Blue badge holders can park free of charge and there are designated bays in all the car parks. Shopmobility schemes can be found in Bury St Edmunds and have a selection of scooters, manual or powered wheelchairs, walking frames and sticks for hire. The Bury St Edmunds scheme is operated by the Tourist Information Centre. All public toilets are fully accessible.
